About Sunim Kukche Sah Bum Nim Antonio Rivera Jr. Senior International Master Antonio Rivera Jr. is a distinguished martial artist with a diverse and extensive background in various disciplines. With nearly 50 years of experience, his journey began at the local Boys Club in Meriden, Connecticut, where he first learned boxing. Eventually, he transitioned to Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan (Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan) in 1975 under the guidance of Osvaldo “Papo” Rodrigues. Over the years, he has trained in multiple martial arts, ranging from Capoeira and Kali to Hapkido and No Gi Jiu-Jitsu. Master Rivera's accomplishments include earning his Black Belt in 1980 and achieving the rank of 7th Dan in 2023. His dedication to martial arts has taken him around the world, allowing him to train with legendary figures such as Chuck Norris, Bill "Superfoot" Wallace, and Rickson Gracie. He has also served as a Law Enforcement Instructor at the Connecticut State Police Academy for over 20 years, teaching physical fitness, defensive tactics, and other critical skills.
