A note from KY Fire Chiefs Association: The Kentucky Fallen Firefighter Memorial is a tangible tribute to those individuals who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
Raising over 19 feet in the air, is one of the memorials focal points, a stainless steel multifaceted Maltese cross, the national symbol of firefighters. Supporting this cross is the massive polished black granite obelisk. The obelisk's pedestal is hand etched with a collage of firefighters in action, using many different types of equipment and in different firefighting situations. The two polished black granite wings, both left and right of the pedestal have been designated for the names of all our fallen firefighters to be permanently engraved. At the present time there are more than 255 names on the wall.
You have the opportunity to participate in this lasting memorial project by participating in our annual online auction is raising money to support our scholarship program as well as program research. All auction proceeds will go directly to support these programs. Thank you to all of the generous donors. We greatly appreciate all of you who are participating in these important programs, and we wish you good luck with your bids!
